The FIE is thrilled to announce an upcoming Career+ Self-Discovery Workshop, taking place on-line on 27–28 May from 13:00–15:00 CET.
The initiative represents a shared priority for the FIE and the FIE Athletes Commission led by the Olympic Champion Ruben Limardo.
The International Olympic Committee, solicited by the FIE, is organising a two-day workshop designed to support athletes in exploring their personal strengths, values, and future career pathways in an engaging and interactive format.
Participants will receive a pre-workshop email and educational workbook, which will help them prepare and get the most out of the sessions.
The activity brings together two International Federations, as the seminar will be equally attended by the International Skating Union - ISU, providing a unique opportunity to broaden perspectives and enrich the overall experience for all the athletes participating.

The upcoming event serves as a prelude to a broader FIE strategy aimed at empowering senior fencers to transition from active competition into long-term service roles within the sport.
Following the earlier announcement, the FIE Academy in Budapest is set to debut its specialised programs in refereeing, technical training, sports management, and competition organization. Similarly, a professional curriculum aimed at certifying commentators is under consideration.
Comprehensive details and further updates will be shared in the next future.
