When and where did you begin this sport? He began fencing at New City School in St. Louis, MO, United States of America.
Why this sport? He took up the sport as part of an after-school programme. "I wasn't sure what to expect, but I thought it'd be cool to fight with swords. I had played some soccer and basketball, but fencing was something I enjoyed right away. I was decent at first, but the more I learned and worked at it, the better I got. I prefer foil because I feel it's the most challenging."
