When and where did you begin this sport? He took part in his first fencing class at age eight.
Why this sport? He first discovered fencing during the 2008 Olympic Games. He read books about the sport and was inspired to try it. "Some people get into it because of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' or whatever, but I just thought the sport looked cool. But I've watched [German foil fencer Benjamin Kleibrink's] match 100 times. I love his game."
