When and where did you begin this sport? She began fencing at age five in Mogliano Veneto, Italy.
Why this sport? Her father, an Olympic fencer, encouraged her to take up the sport. "My father was my first coach and initially it was just for fun. But when my athletics and fencing commitments overlapped I had to make a choice."
