SOFIA, Bulgaria, Nov. 15-17—More than 500 fencers from 28 countries competed at the Etropolski Sabre European Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria, including both team and individual events. The competition took place at Sofia’s Asics Arena.
The first day, Nov. 15, included boys and girls under 14, with the individual sabre gold going to Arda Mustafa Gundogar (TUR) and Emese Domonkos (HUN). The second day featured individual cadet men’s sabre and team cadet women’s sabre, with Todor Stoychev (BUL) taking the gold for the men and Team USA winning for the girls. On the final day, Zoe Kim (USA) won the gold medal in individual cadet women’s sabre, while Team Bulgaria won team cadet men’s sabre.
