Fencing Scores High in Olympic Sports Social Media Ranking

A recent comprehensive social media report about Olympic sports, conducted by TSE Consulting, a Burson-Marsteller company, entitled ‘Olympic Sports Social Media Ranking’, examined various organisations and Olympic sports federations and their performance on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and others.

The International Fencing Federation (FIE) did very well on Facebook and Instagram stories, in particular, as one of the ‘most active’ sports federations. The FIE took ninth place (on Facebook) overall among all Olympic sports and organisations, with the only sports with higher scores being basketball, table tennis, ice hockey, and athletics (the others were multi-sport programs or organizations such as the Olympic Channel and the Paralympic Games).

The FIE remains committed to an ongoing and increasing presence in social media, engaging players, fans, officials, organisations, and coaches worldwide in multiple forms of communication.
