LAUSANNE (May 20) – Three star-studded events in France, Germany and Italy bring the curtain down on the 2015-16 World Cup season this weekend.

Meanwhile, Ariana Errigo and Inna Deriglazova resume their tussle for the world No. 1 ranking spot at the 30. Würth-Cup event for women’s foil in Tauberbischofsheim.
More than 130 athletes from 29 countries are travelling to the central German city renowned for producing fencing champions. The action takes place at the Olympiastützpunkt venue.
Elsewhere, in the Milan suburb of Legnano, Chinese star Anqi Xu may get the chance to exact revenge on Tatyana Logunova after the Russian’s surprise victory in the Rio Grand Prix last month.
The venue for the last women’s epee World Cup is the Palazzetto dello Sport di Castellanza, where 154 fencers from 33 nations will be fighting for the medals.
Olympic qualification ended in April, but fencers who have secured passage can still improve their seeding in Rio.
