Italy’s Mara Navarria overcame her grief at the death of her fencing master Oleg Pouzanov, after he died last Thursday to win her first Grand Prix in three years.
Navarria beat the former world and Olympic champion Germany’s Britta Heidemann in Doha, Qatar by 15-12.
Navarria dedicated her victory to master Oleg and shed tears once her work was done.
