Swiss Fencing Federation in cooperation with the European Fencing Confederation are very happy to welcome the elite of European fencing to the 2015 European Championships which will take place in Montreux from the 5th to the 11th of June 2015.
Swiss Fencing has not organised a big fencing event since 1998, in order to celebrate their 100th year of existence, they decided to organise these European Championships.
A particularly special venue has been chosen for this event: the Montreux Music and Convention Center (2M2C), meeting place of the greatest music artists on the planet during the traditional Montreux Jazz Festival. The location is also very special, in an idyllic spot along the shores of the Lake Léman, one of the most frequented areas in all of Switzerland.
The Fencing Euro 2015 in Montreux itself is also of great importance for qualification to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
