DHAKA, Bangladesh, December 29, 2020—The Bangladesh Fencing Association announced the successful completion of the 6th Bangabandu President Cup Fencing Championship, held between December 22-24. The event, which took place at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Dhaka, included approximately 180 men’s and women’s fencers in three weapons participating in teams from ten organizations.
The results were as follows, with the Bangladesh Navy winning the overall championship title for the event and Bangladesh Ansar & VDP taking the runner-up title.

Mr. Ram Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury, MP Chairman of the Bangladesh Parliamentary Standing Committee on Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry was the chief guest of the opening ceremony, and Mr. Zahid Ahsan Rasel, MP of the Bangladesh State Ministry for Youth and Sports was chief guest for the closing ceremony.
The Bangladesh Fencing Association is now planning to participate in the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games 2021, slated to take place sometime during February and/or March.
