When and where did you begin this sport? She began fencing at age nine.
Why this sport? She was involved in karate for four years before a friend introduced her to fencing. "When I first competed, I did not like it. I was small and everyone was beating me and I went home crying, but I kept working and eventually the results came. That made me more ambitious."
