Sport Specific Information

When and where did you begin this sport? She began fencing at age nine in Pabianice, Poland.

Why this sport? Her grandfather encouraged her parents to sign her up for fencing classes. "My dad and my grandfather were tired of 'stick-fighting' with me. I was a fan of 'Star Wars'. This is why I went to the first training session, and to be honest I had never heard about fencing before and didn't know what exactly it was."
