When and where did you begin this sport? He began fencing at age eight.
Why this sport? His mother enrolled him in fencing lessons as she felt he spent too much time playing video games. "I couldn't register that it's something I could do professionally. I did it because I really liked hitting people with sticks, it was a lot of fun. I got to fence a few times a week. It wasn't bad, it was a fun time. You're a kid, you get to be a pirate pretty much."
