When and where did you begin this sport? She began fencing at age 10. "Usually, young children start with foil. But I started immediately with the sabre, both because I started late compared to others, and because I learned at a club that specialised in sabre."
Why this sport? Her parents, on the advice of friends, suggested she take up the sport. "It was not 'love at first sight' because it is a very disciplined sport that requires, especially in the early years, a lot of attention. It was not that fun as a child, but over time I became more and more passionate."
