When and where did you begin this sport? He began fencing at age 12 in Valencia, Venezuela.
Why this sport? He was inspired to take up the sport after watching the Venezuelan epee team compete at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. After finishing his military studies in 2015, he decided to focus on fencing and relocated to Poland to train with the team of Venezuelan fencer Ruben Limardo. "I wrote them to ask to train with them. They replied to me after the [2016 Olympic] Games in Rio de Janeiro and I came to Poland to train with them."
