When and where did you begin this sport? He took up fencing at age eight at Dynamo Fencing Club in Vancouver, BC, Canada. He began competing in foil, and from age 13 to 16 competed in both foil and epee. He began focusing on epee in 2014.
Why this sport? He became interested in the sport after watching a demonstration while in kindergarten. He was attracted to the mental aspect of fencing. "You're always thinking. It's not just physical."
