In March 2022 while speaking about the relocation of her club, New Jersey Fencing Alliance [NJFA], where her partner Brian Kaneshige is a coach, to a new training facility, she indicated that she plans to retire from fencing after the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. "[I'm] beyond excited for Brian and I to lay down roots at NJFA's new location in Maplewood, NJ, and help it grow from the ground up. After a chaotic last couple of years, things have finally come full circle and I can think of no better place for me to end my fencing career after Paris 2024, and for Brian to jumpstart his coaching career."
