When and where did you begin this sport? He took up the sport in grade seven at Seoul Physical Education Middle School in the Republic of Korea.
Why this sport? "I originally got involved in athletics while in primary school. When I entered middle school, I heard that fencing was easy compared to other sports. I chose epee, which was the only weapon at my school at the time, but I realised that it was in fact the easiest one for me. Therefore I decided to continue with it."
