When and where did you begin this sport? He began fencing at age seven in Italy. He moved to Canada at age 10.

Why this sport? He tried judo, basketball and swimming before he began fencing. He decided to take up the sport after watching a Zorro cartoon. "I watched it every night. When I found out you could do that as a sport, I wanted to try it out."

He took a break from the sport in 2015 to concentrate on his studies at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, United States of America. "I felt I wasn't in the position to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro so decided to focus on that [studies] and prepare my application for law school at McGill University.
