When and where did you begin this sport? He began fencing in 2001 in Ufa, Russian Federation.
Why this sport? "I was in the third grade [at school] and my first coaches Farit Arslanov and Vil Nagimov came to our class. They began talking about fencing. At that time it was something new, interesting and unusual. And just in these years this film ['The Three Musketeers'] was played on all the TV channels. I was immediately inspired and wanted to try it, since all the other guys were already playing football and hockey and I did not want to be in that crowd."
