MISSED OLYMPICS
In June 2021 the French Fencing Federation removed him from the team selected for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo as a precaution, as he was under investigation by the French Anti-Doping Agency [AFLD] after returning an adverse analytical finding for the prohibited substance dorzolamide in November 2020. He was not sanctioned by the AFLD after it was confirmed the substance had entered his body through blood transfusions he received while being treated for injuries sustained in a car accident in 2020. SANCTION
He was suspended for one year by the French Anti-Doping Agency [AFLD] after failing three times to notify his whereabouts for out-of-competition tests between December 2017 and May 2018.
