In April 2021 she qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games by winning the African qualifying tournament in Cairo, Egypt. She had not been scheduled to compete in the event but at the last minute she was selected to replace national teammate Nora Zahra Kahli, who had tested positive for COVID-19. "My happiness is indescribable after this qualification. The fact that I was not supposed to participate in this competition and I joined at the last minute to cover for Nora Zahra increases my happiness. I wish her a speedy recovery."
