When and where did you begin this sport? He began fencing at age nine.
Why this sport? He was encouraged to take up fencing by his older brothers and a neighbour who was a fencing coach. "We started because of coach Mustafa Kalender. He was our neighbour. He directed my brothers to fencing. And then I followed."
