Sport Specific Information

When and where did you begin this sport? He began fencing at age 14.

Why this sport? His father, a former international fencer for Argentina, introduced him to the sport. "It is not easy to practise a sport that your parents and family did well. You feel a little pressure. When I was a kid I struggled with that. I played basketball instead up until I was 14. What I liked the most [about fencing] was the independence that it gives you. I struggled to compete as a member of a team. In basketball, the coach may not call you up for the next game. In fencing, if you qualify you go and compete."
