Other information TEAM TULEN
In 2017 he teamed up with his younger brother Rafael to coach each other. The pair have since been running clinics and providing coaching and mentoring services as Team Tulen. "Three-and-a-half years ago [speaking in 2020] we were left without a coach. Then we put our thoughts together. How could we proceed? There wasn't too much of a budget, so options were limited. We then decided to do it together. We know each other very well, of course. Not only as fencers, but also as people. We know exactly how the other wants to be guided. That is why we started coaching each other from that moment on. Of course it sometimes happens that we have to compete against each other. But there is no such thing as hostility. It is more about the team interest. After all, we are also each other's students, so there is no rivalry between us."
