Injuries In July 2022 she fractured a finger on her left hand after her son accidentally stepped on it. She was out of action for two months. (sponichi.co.jp, 08 Sep 2022)

Milestones She became the first female fencer representing Japan to win a medal in individual epee at the Asian Games by claiming silver at the 2010 Games in Guangzhou, People's Republic of China. At the same event, she was part of the squad that won Japan's first Asian Games team epee gold medal for either men or women.
